Analyzing Agricultural Land Consolidation Effects in Golbolagh Dam Downstream, Bijar County

Abstract

This is a descriptive-correlative study conducted in a survey method in 2011. The statistical society consists of all the farmers who accepted the land consolidation program (N= 235). Using Bartlet’s table and simple random sampling technique, 120 farmers are selected as samples. Data are collected through a questionnaire which is validated by a panel of experts, and its reliability is also confirmed by calculating Cronbach’s alpha coefficient (0.85). The study results show that there are differences between the key indexes before and after the implementation of the program. In addition, the results of factor analysis indicate that six factors including occupational, access to agricultural complementary services and farm infrastructures, operational and implementation effect, productivity, improved quantity and quality of crops, and facilitation of agricultural operations have the highest role in explaining the total variance of land consolidation effects.
