Abstract
Introduction
Iran, facing international sanctions and an oil sales embargo, has seen a rise in its global innovation ranking but still lags behind in regional and global competitiveness. The Makran coast in Iran holds strategic importance but has been underutilized compared to other coastal regions. This study aims to explore the need for knowledge-based development in the Makran coast and identify key priorities.
